BEIJING : Police has allegedly detained a man who is known as the son of world-renowned actor Jackie Chan after being tested positive for marijuana.
A statement of confirming that Jaycee Chan, who is also known as Fang Zu Ming, 32, was picked up on Aug 14 for investigations,was posted on monday night by Beijing police authorities on the Weibo account.
More than 100 grams of marijuana were found from the suspect's home based on the statement provided.
According to Xinhua news agency, if Jaycee was found guilty for " providing others a shelter to use drugs" , he could be jailed up to three years.
Representative of Jaycee, public relations firm M'Stones verified the news that due to deal with his son's arrest, Jacky Chan had travelled to Beijing, reported Hong Kong-based English daily South China Morning Post.

Kai Ko Chen-Tung ,23, who is a taiwanese movie star, was allegedly tested positive for marijuana and got arrested with Jaycee on the same day as well.
Back in 2009, Jackie Chan had been serving as China's anti-drug ambassador and participate in various campaign to raise public awareness on the side effect of taking drugs while Ko joined similar anti-drug campaign too several years ago. They vowed " I don't do drugs " in the campaign.
No update was posted on both official accounts of Jackie Chan and Jaycee on Weibo.
According to Bernama, at least nine local celebrities were arrested by the China police for drugs this year according to Xinhua report.
